FOR MARRIOTT WORLD RESORT UPGRADE

ORANGE, CA, November 21, 2006 – Radian Audio Engineering, Inc. (radianaudio.com) , a manufacturer of professional speaker systems and components installed worldwide, announced that 120 of its award-winning 8- and 12-inch ceiling speakers have been installed in the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott World Resort in Orlando, FL.

Under the direction of Miami-based A/V systems integrator Pro Sound Inc. (prosound.net), the Radian ceiling speakers were a major component in the $500,000 upgrade to the 8600-square foot ballroom used on an almost daily basis for conferences and special events. The 26-foot ceiling creates a 223,000-cubic foot space that requires sophisticated acoustical engineering and high-precision audio sound components that will provide consistent volume and sound balance to any section of the room, regardless of a listener’s location or height.

“Achieving a perfectly balanced sound chamber is the measure of the audio artist’s design capabilities and selection of what audio components will best fulfill the acoustic plan,” said a spokesperson for Pro Sound’s Marriott upgrade project. “The Radian ceiling speakers easily met the required acoustical spec’s and were well within budget.”

Pro Sound installed 48 eight-inch (Model 508/2BC) and 72 twelve-inch (Model 512/2BC) Radian Audio coaxial ceiling speakers. The speakers, a staple of the Radian Audio brand, have gained a reputation among sound contractors and dealers for their unmatched design, machining, and sound production capabilities.

“The Marriott World Resort is a signature installation for our new ceiling speakers,” said Radian’s Manager of Marketing & Sales. “The acoustical demands of the Grand Ballroom show off the capabilities of the 508 and 512 speakers regardless of occupancy and the type of sounds being delivered.”

Pro Sound, Inc. (prosound.net), founded in 1975 and with offices in Miami and Orlando, FL and Los Angeles, specializes in audio, acoustical management, and theatrical lighting for live performances nationwide.

Radian Audio Engineering, Inc. (radianaudio.com), established in 1984, is a pioneer in professional speaker systems and components that are used internationally by sound contractors and dealers, live bands, and OEM manufacturers of top-brand audio equipment.

In his Test Bench series of driver characterizations for Voice Coil magazine, Vance Dickason measured the LM10n, the latest and larger sized planar ribbon driver from Radian Audio Engineering. The measurements clearly show why the LM10n is a unique planar that can be used as a very high quality midrange with the latest LT2.2 or LT3.2 high frequency planar ribbons, or as a wide range (120Hz to 20kHz) dipole or monopole transducer.
